It is the responsibility of the citizen to participate fully in civic life.
1. What are the ways that an individual citizen can get involved in a democratic government?
2. Why is it important for citizens to hold the government accountable for its actions?
3. Does the current two party system inhibit the ability of the citizen to check the growth and power of the government?
Personal Responsibilities – It is your individual duty to ensure your good character and behavior irrespective of how you were brought up and what kind of conditioning you have received. Individual responsibility also includes being accountable for the degree and level of your health, wealth, success and happiness.
Civic Responsibilities - being well informed about civic affairs, serving in the military, voting, serving on a jury, observing the laws, paying taxes, and serving the public good.
